Footwear

I have substantial foot and joint issues and mobility issues. Other people mostly don't notice.

This is a post I wrote elsewhere on shoes. TLDR leather crocs, but actually attractive.

I also wear sandals and would hypothetically add those as weekend wear. In Germany, boots are called "winter shoes" and they are ankle high leather with a zipper intended to be worn with pants.

Germany also has strumpfehose (sp?), which is like knit pantyhose to keep your legs warm in winter under a skirt. Or HAD them. I haven't been to Germany in a lot of years. I had some strumpfehose growing up because mom was German.

I mostly live temperate places. Yes, Albuquerque is temperate. It snows but only about 8 inches a year and most of it melts the next day. It's a little like Georgia at 5000 feet and a tenth of the rain.

After a year here, you can breath at this altitude and then it's like living in the High Desert, but without 115 degrees two weeks straight in July and a lot fewer coyotes.

Anyway, I like living places where I don't do a lot of clothing accommodation for weather and that's how I've lived in recent years. So I haven't thought a lot about things like winter clothes.

I'm currently homeless. I have no idea HOW to go from blog to "Place your online order, there's totally a factory at the backend ready to make clothes and ship them."
